Prensa y Servicios de la Lengua, publisher of the quarterly magazine Archiletras, the biannual Archiletras Cientifica and the website archiletras.com, has announced the Archiletras Language Prize. They will be held once a year. The first nomination period will open on Friday, March 1st. The prize will be awarded at a public event in the presence of prominent figures from the cultural, political, economic and social fields. They will not receive any prize money, but will consist of an item specifically designed for the award and a diploma. The scope of the award is global, not just Spanish. The purpose of this award is to honor, honor, celebrate and honor those who have performed in the year preceding the call in the promotion, support, research, development, Spanish or some other language related to Spanish in any of its territories.
The award will be judged by a jury composed of individuals with a proven track record and professional reputation in the culture, language and literature industries. Awarded to any person who has distinguished himself by any means or form in any aspect of communication related to language issues, especially if by doing so they have contributed to bringing these issues closer to the public at large. - Professional Performance Award. Suitable for individuals or groups who excel in any occupation directly related to language, including new occupations emerging with technological change and digital transformation. -Voice of the Year Award. In recognition of those who have distinguished themselves in oral public interventions by the beauty and appropriateness of their diction, the quality of their pronunciation and intonation, and the care of their prosody. - Annual Publishing Award.
Publications that stand out for their contributions and advancements or for their acceptance by the public, whether in print or digital, single or periodical, general or professional editions. - Organization of the Year Award. Recognizes a public or private nonprofit agency that has distinguished itself in the creation, planning, or administration of programs, projects, or programs related to the language. -Annual University Award. Represents a university or higher education institution that, either as a whole or through its faculties or divisions, excels in language teaching, promotion or research. - Award for Language Initiative in Business. For any company or group of companies of any size or field of activity, internal or external initiatives that have language as one of the axes stand out. - Urban Language Initiative Award. To recognize a region that stands out for its initiatives related to the promotion, dissemination or promotion of the language. - Innovation Award.
